Alena Belotserkovskaya

Alena was interested in programming since childhood, when as an 8-year-old she first saw a programmable calculator. At school, she studied QBasic, and then Pascal. At the university, she switched to Delphi and C++.

In 2003, her dream finally came true — Alena landed a job as a software engineer at Delphin-Informatika company. There she used Visual C++ and Delphi to develop modules for the Simatic WinCC system.

In 2005, she graduated from the National Research University “Moscow Power Engineering Institute” with a Master's degree in computers, complex systems, and networks, specializing in information and measurement systems.

In 2006, Alena became completely absorbed by PHP, HTML, and Javascript, so she decided to embark on a freelance journey. Apparently, the venture was a success, because in 2011, Alena was offered a front-end lead position at Actis Wunderman, where she worked for 4 years. During this time, she was involved in projects for Colgate, Novartis, BMW, Ford, Tinkoff Online Insurance, and WPP Government, as well as became a Certified Sitecore Developer.

Alena's main hobby is her work, because her work grew out of a hobby. Besides, Alena loves traveling to big cities, where she always finds a Chinese restaurant. She has a thing for Chinese and Korean food, as well as cookery in general. Her other hobbies are also peaceful and quiet: books, sci-fi & horror movies and games.
